Do you accept health insurance?

  • At this time, I do not bill health insurance directly. However, I’m happy to provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider if your plan includes out-of-network acupuncture coverage.

If you have any questions or need help with documentation, feel free to ask—I'm here to support you in making your care as accessible as possible.

Are Acupuncture Needle Safe?

  • Yes! Acupuncture needles are very thin, sterile, single-use, and FDA-approved. They are made of stainless steel and are safely and gently applied by a licensed acupuncturist. • That said, some people may experience mild side effects such as:

    • Light bruising or bleeding at the needle site
    • Temporary soreness or fatigue after a session
    • Occasional light-headedness, especially if you're dehydrated or haven't eaten beforehand
  • If you're pregnant, on blood thinners, or have a specific medical condition, just let me know—we’ll adjust everything to make sure your treatment is both safe and supportive.

What should I do to prepare for treatment?

  • Before Your Appointment
    • Complete all required forms at least 24 hours in advance. The intake form usually takes about 30–40 minutes to fill-out.
    • Taking the time to complete it thoughtfully helps me to better understand your condition and know what areas to explore more deeply during our first visit. It sets the foundation for a more focused and personalized treatment.
  • The Day Before treatment
    • Avoid alcohol and non-prescription drugs for at least 12 hours

    • Try not to brush your tongue for 24 hours before your visit (this helps with diagnostic evaluation)

  • On the Day of Your Appointment:
    • Wear or bring loose-fitting clothes that can roll up past your elbows and knees

    • Make sure your back and abdomen can be easily accessed if needed

    • Avoid intense exercise or stressful situations before your session

    • Skip the caffeine—it can make you more sensitive to the needles

    • Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your visit to help keep your blood sugar steady

    • If your energy tends to dip, bring a snack for after your appointment

    • If you get tired easily, consider preparing a light meal at home ahead of time or have a takeout option in mind
